I mainly come here to critique art works and animations, so that I understand art fundementals better. In the future, I'll likely make content here.
PS - There has to be a policy against explicit profile pictures and wallpapers (unristricted access).

Sexual NSFW Content (Enlighten Me)

Posted by MimpTableToss - 2 hours ago

Hey. I'm making this post because I just want to be enlightened on what makes explicit, erotic content nessesary. I try to be as open and honest as I can with all art, movies, games, and audio I go through on this site. I get that this site promotes freedom with creativity and ideas by all artists and I think that's cool in a lot of ways, but I also have some concerns with who the "creative freedom" is held by. I just want to make it clear that I'm not ENTIRELY against NSFW as a concept and that there are some cases where I even agree and appreicate the artistic intent behind some out there. It's just that a lot of what I find is the same "tits/ass" formula that systematically always works with gaining traction and mass media attention (I'm sure most of the community consists of heterosexual males, including myself. Though I could be wrong). I see body parts often more focused on than the characters themselves (as well as the writing, directing, execution, messaging, and overall quality). I think it's up to you (as an adult) to do whatever you want with your OCs (you created them). I also think it's up to you (as an adult) how you consume and critique whatever content you stumble across. Just understand that I won't always agree. When it's an already existing character, I'm very critical with how they're represented in a fandom. I'm familiar with the argument that "it's fiction" and "it won't do anything to anyone" which is kind of true, but although the art doesn't physically do anything, the comsumer can still be affected by it. Maybe there's a lot that I don't understand about the essence of NSFW content (specifically in an erotic context) so I would love to be enlightened on what makes it necessary in the art space. I look forward to getting different perspectives on this heated topic.
